  • The subject of   Alcantara and whether he will jump the ship to Real Madrid seems to be reaching a boiling point. Florentino Perez has confirmed Real’s interest in the Brazilian. Rafinha  has already declared his undying loyalty to Barca, but who knows? It will be difficult for him to find a regular spot in the squad he may just find a lucrative deal with Real. Watch this space.
  • And the saga over whether Super-coach Pep Guardiola will stay or leave will be settled in January, according to reports.  If you re-call, a year and a half ago,we agonized over whether or not he will leave the Blaugrana, before we get our knickers in a knot, lets just play it cool and wait for the official announcement in January. *holding thumbs*

  1. There are many players whom i like and love to win this award. But there could only be one winner therefore i vote for Casillas. He has been as inspiring player and a great leader. I hope he wins the award.

    1. Undoubetdly the rock and inspiration of the Spanish team and Real Madrid. It’s not very often that goalies get this recognition, Oliver Kahn came in 3rd in 2001 and Buffon came in 2nd in 2006. Maybe Iker will break the mould?
