FC Barcelona transfer rumours: “The Cesc Saga” reaches boiling point!

Various sources have reported that Cesc Fabregas has “handed in his resignation.” He is reported to have held talks with Arsenal boss and admitted that after musch soul-searching, his desire is to move back to his boyhood club Barcelona (YAY). Cesc said last week: “I think I would like to go to Barcelona, whether or not they want me is another thing.”

^^WOW!

Laporta said of the claims: “It is remarkable that the player has said that. If the technical secretary [Txiki Begiristain] believes we must make an effort, we will do and will talk to Arsenal.”

Barcelona meanwhile are also rumoured to be tying up the end of a deal for David Villa.

“We are in the negotiating process [with Villa] and everything is going in the right direction,” Laporta added. “We hope it is resolved soon. Everything is on track and hopefully we can reach an agreement.” Laporta added that Barca “have set a specific date and will do what is best for the club.”

Villa’s arrival seems to mean that French striker Thierry Henry is possibly on his way out of the Camp Nou. His prefered destination? MLS side NY Red Bulls.

^^soon-to-be teammates?

David Villa is already in Barcelona. : )

This will be tough for Cesc since he STARTED at Barca, his first love. Yet he was ADORED and KNOWN for Arsenal. I love Barca yet I think that they share a part in the fault of letting Cesc go in the first place, and now that Cesc is well-known and has high standards with Arsenal, they decide to get him back. I do think this is a bit of technique done by Barca; they let Cesc go and be trained and idolized in Arsenal, afterwhich they get him, after his popularity hike. Barcelona was his first love, yet Arsenal became his family during the peak of his career.

But anyways, Cesc chose to stay at Arsenal, so let’s just look forward on what this decision will lead to.
