Barcelona were brought back to reality last night after all they managed was a 1-1 draw with Villareal. But even though they didn’t manage a win, they played their usual beautiful football.
Before the game kicked off, the players paraded their 6 cups to the Nou Camp. They then entered the pitch with the Villareal players forming a guard of honour for them, which I thought was nice of them 🙂
Pedro scored for Barca, after Henry’s shot hit the cross bar. Although Henry’s run and strike were awesome, I have to mention that Pedrito did very well himself. He had to collect the ball (he chested it down) and his strike was precise and confident. It was a beaut.
Things looked like they were going to get worse for Villareal when Henry, who was really on fire and deserved a goal for his efforts, made an excellent run from Pedro’s cross, passed it to Ibra who netted it. But, to my annoyance the officials felt that Henry had committed a foul, so they disallowed it. Henry then came up with a few more moments of brilliance, he had a great header saved the 24th minute, and a while later he outran the Villareal defense, and produced a delish pass to Pedro, who missed the goal mouth.
So having dropped 2 points, Barca have left the top of the table up for grabs. All eyes on Real Madrid as they take on Osasuna tonight.
Zlatan picked up another yellow and will be suspended for the Tenerife match :-/
