Tidbits: Cesc to Real, Veira back in England, Liverpool transfers..

Manchester City
Patrick Viera has undergone his Manchester City medical! He becomes Mancini’s first signing since he took over from Mark Hughes at city. Viera and Mancini worked together at Inter, and after spells with Juventus as well, he sees his time at Italy as done and dusted. He has secured a £100,000 per week deal, not bad!

“It’s over, after a year in Turin and three-and-a-half years in Milan. I wanted to go to the World Cup and I need playing time,” said Viera

“I have objectives and I can’t achieve them by staying at Inter where I am not part of the coach’s choice.

“What’s important for me is to go to Manchester City, to show the coach that I am the same as I was during the period when he was at Inter. All this will help me get into the France team.”

Liverpool

Liverpool have rejected a £8 million bid for Ryan Babel from Portsmouth. But Napoli have successfully signed Andrea Dossena. He has signed till 2014 and told the official website: “I am very happy to be wearing the Napoli shirt. I have chosen a big club with great prestige and an important project. I cannot wait to play at the San Paolo in front of an extraordinary public”

Atletico Madrid’s Maxi Rodriguez is on his way to Liverpool. The 29 year old Argentine is being brought in to boost the attack. The question now is, what will happen to Ryan Babel?

Said Benitez: “I have not said that Ryan has to leave the club. We received an offer for the player and he said that he did not want to leave the club.

“Therefore we rejected the offer. He is a good player and he works hard, I want him in the squad.”

Arsenal
According to reports, Real Madrid are ready to undergo “Operation Cesc.” A reported real worth £43 million plus Gonzalo Higuain is what’s being offered to Arsenal for their captain.

Florentina Perez is hoping to get one over rivals Barcelona, who raised Fabregas in their cantera, by luring him away… Laporta, whose term is all but up as the Barca president has always stated his eagerness to bring Cesc back to Barcelona.

Personally don’t think it will happen… Cesc has too much Catalan blood in him 🙂
